![]() ![]() Felt incredibly hectic and dangerous, but in a good way. Luckily once you get past those stupid "parry the attack" sequences with Bakunin, it makes an auto-save, and the second half of the fight was a lot of fun.Finding out after I hit him the first time that the fight resets to the very beginning was having me dread the rest of the fight. Where you had to delay your parries and couldn't attack too early lest you reset the countdown to beat him, it felt super frustrating and inconsistent. I hated the first half of the Bakunin fight for the same reason I despised the parrying sequence of the Hel fight in the original game. ![]() The rest of that same level was pretty fun trying to avoid attacking anyone yet still getting through was an interesting challenge, though I'm pretty annoyed that I ended up with one kill I didn't even need to do it, I just casually assumed those walkers were robots and that they didn't count.I hated that one hallway in level 2 (the one where you're not meant to kill people) where you have to dodge that one guy's attacks while staying behind a barrier to avoid being hit by those walkers I forget the name of.The upgrade mechanic (with the puzzle pieces and special squares you wanted to surround but not fill) was pretty unique and nice as well. My only grievance with it is was it's impossible to do the slow motion dodge without jumping forward, as this posed quite an issue sometimes as frequently I would go into slow-motion to dodge an attack, but then end up unintentionally leaping forward into a pit or an attack. The new combat (ie the massive jumps) took some getting used to, but eventually ended up feeling pretty good, just leaping around in all directions to dodge everything. ![]()
